Important Vaping Safety Information
We understand that the events developing in the United States regarding Vaping and the safety surrounding flavoured e-liquid could be a cause for concern. In order to establish just how concerned UK customer may be when hesrinh these reports, it is important to look at what is common to the problems and deaths in the USA.
Firstly we want to assure you that by shopping with us, you’re purchasing the best quality e-liquid on the market in line with TPD regulations. We are based here in the UK and manufacture our own e-liquid with several quality assurance tests during the manufacturing process to ensure excellent product performance, that’s safe to vape.
A report from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the USA’s powerful health protection agency, finally acknowledged on the 27th of September 2019 that the vast majority of the vaping related lung illnesses reported in the USA are linked to the vaping of black market products and not nicotine.
The USA Facts on Vaping
The reports state that most of the deaths and illnesses (80%) are associated or linked to people who were vaping THC (an active ingredient that gets you high) and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) mixed in with their e-liquid. What is not made clear is the amount or strength of the nicotine that is in the e-liquid being vaped. In the USA it’s possible to buy nicotine as high as 5.0% mg and would create a reaction in most people when vaped.
The legal limit in the UK per the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) is 20 mg/ml. We only sell e-liquid up to 18 mg/ml nicotine. This is a considerable difference. In the USA it is possible to purchase e liquid which is 2.5 times stronger than the legal limit in the UK, meaning that it’s possible that it will really produce a physical effect.
Vaping Regulations: The USA vs The UK and EU
Unlike the UK and the EU which are highly regulated, the USA is currently quite an unregulated market when it comes to advertising smoking & vaping and producing e-liquid. FDA regulation is coming soon though. There is currently no compulsory testing carried out in the USA on any e-liquids sold to the public in the US vaping market. There are currently only limited restriction as to what goes into these e-liquids.
A couple of years ago the USA was very concerned about “popcorn Lung” which was linked to an ingredient called Diacetyl. Since this is a banned substance in the UK and in the EU, it was never a factor in our e-liquids.
According to the TPD laws in the UK, we are limited as to what ingredients can be used in our e-liquids and we are limited to the amount of nicotine that is allowed. Our bottle cannot contain more than 10ml e liquid and refillable and prefilled tanks may not exceed 2ml.
Before an e-liquid is placed on the market for sale in the UK it has to undergone toxicity and emissions testing. Banned substances would be identified in the toxicity tests and the e-liquid could not be registered on the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) register. Products that are not registered on this registry may not be legally sold in the UK or the EU. In order to register the toxicity and Emission test results need to be submitted with the application to register.
If the e-liquid that you are using cannot be found on the register, then it is not legal and has not gone through the necessary testing required for it to be included on the products list.
Our E-liquids: Our Commitment to TPD Compliance and Produce The Best Possible Vaping Products
One of the fundamental requirements to a safe product, would be the use of best possible ingredients and not just the exclusion of banned ingredients. We make sure that we use the highest quality ingredients in our e-liquids which is why we are not the cheapest e-liquid on the market and is the reason why our flavours are authentic and taste real.
Our Cherry, Chocolate and Coffee all have an authentic taste with a flavour like real cherries, chocolate and coffee. They lack that synthetic nasty aftertaste that’s the hallmark of so many e-liquids on the market. It is also one of the reasons why you will find a limited number of flavours. It’s not possible to produce exotic and strange flavours without compromising somewhere on the quality of the ingredients. We keep our flavours simple. All our e-liquids are made to an exact and specific recipe for each flavour and strength.
You can trust our e-liquids because we appear on the MHRA Register.
Unlike the US, the UK vaping market is fully regulated and must comply with very strict regulations through The Tobacco Products Directive (TPD). This means none of our e-liquids contain the substance tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E acetate) or THC.
“Research continually suggests e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than smoking”

What Makes Our E-liquid Safe?
Our fully tested e-liquids use only the finest pharma grade ingredients combined with nicotine and high-quality food flavouring, in a propylene glycol base (used in fog machines, asthma inhalers, food and toothpaste). Zero strength e-liquid contains no nicotine. Other ingredients include flavouring found in fruits, nuts and bakery goods, among others, making our flavours truly unique and enjoyable.
This is the preferred mixture of ingredients for our carefully manufactured e-liquid recipes to produce optimum flavour, smoothness and vapour production enjoyed by over 2.5 million e-cigarette users in the UK.
Internal Quality Controls
We also receive Batch reports on every shipment of e-liquid and in addition to what is legally required we voluntarily conduct follow up tests on our e-liquid and hardware products to ensure that our manufacturers are constantly up to speed.
To sum up: we are committed to compliance which means that when we repeat What Public Health England stated “Vaping is 95% safer than Smoking” we can honestly state that we are doing everything to make sure that we’re bringing the best possible vaping products to the market.
